Review summary

The Carnival Liberty was the largest and newest ship of the fleet. It was 11 floors of wonder. The inside of the ship looked like a building, with a main lobby of chandeliers that changed color. The entertainment was top notch, and we purchased CD's from some of the entertainers, they were so good. The food was out of this world, and this ship had a Sushi Bar, Deli Bar where you could get fresh deli sandwiches made all day, a stir fry station, and great buffets on the Lido deck for those who did not want to eat in the dining rooms. The staterooms were huge - king size beds, sofa and table. The dining rooms were just beautiful with chandeliers and the best wait staff that we have had on a cruise. I would highly recommend this 8 day cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale to Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. We have cruised many times, but this was by far the best one yet!!

Entertainment was great. There was a main show every night that exceeded any Vegas show we have seen. The nightclubs had a variety of music available with great entertainers.

The ship was immaculate, decor was unbelievable, but it was so large that you had to take Deck 5 from either end of the ship to get to the dining areas, they were not accessible by Deck 3 or 4.

Cabin / Stateroom

Stateroom was huge for an outside cabin. Large window, king size bed, sofa and table/chair, immaculate.

We had visited here before, and unfortunately they closed the sandy beach at the dock to the public. But, we spent the day in the huge pool and visited the shops near the dock.

We took the bus, boat and train excursion. This was a great experience as we visited the rain forest and a banana plantation.

We took the excursion to Portobelo and the canal. This was a great experience. The only thing is that they did not stop for food all day.
