Overall and excellent cruise. The staff and ship were great!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our embarkation was truly fast. I must qualify that we had a suite which provided priority boarding. Yet from dropping off the luggage to getting through security was efficient and fast. The priority assisted with expedited check in and boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was great throughout the cruise. We dined virtually every on the Ship and never had a bad meal nor experience. Our MDR attendants were fabulous!!! Ayu, Teody and Tongo provided exceptional service.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We utilized the pools in both the main Lido Deck and the Serenity Area. The areas were always clean and had seating although the Serenity Area was challenging at times for a cabana. We had a good time doing Build a Bear for St. Jude’s. So cool watching the kids build their bears too.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The performers in the main auditorium were extremely talented. Their dancing and singing made all the shows memorable and more especially the 70s and 80s review. The only opportunities in entertainment was the initial two comedians. Seriously…they were not funny; not even a chuckle worth. It wasn’t until Jerome joined the cruise at the mid-point did the comedy shows become popular and entertaining.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Fantastic staff at every location and interaction. My steward, Dodik, was proactive and thoroughly helpful. MDR group, Ayu; Teody; and Tongo, were phenomenal!!! In fact, we changed Ships to see Ayu again. We had her on two other cruises. And I cannot express the feelings about the Alchemy Bar leader, Dom from Croatia. Dom was magnificent with his ability to create off the menu drinks and excellent presentation/performance.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The Ship, Pride not the Legend, was seriously nicer than I expected. Evidently it’s been remodeled or renovated lately. Everything onboard was virtually new with beautiful decor. The only issue was that almost all the men’s urinals were removed and replaced with stalls. This was problematic since most had two stalls with no urinals which cause major backups at times. In fact, several females chuckled to see men waiting in line to use the bathroom.
Disembarkation was easy. The Pride crew provided clear instructions/guidance for departing. This was stressed since the Norfolk Port was the alternative for Baltimore. There were individuals attempting to escape the system to depart prior to their times. I found it hilarious since the luggage area appeared a bit small and watching them wonder why their luggage wasn’t off the ship yet.
