Review summary

Let me start by saying if you are expecting roller coasters and rock-climbing walls this is not the cruise for you. The Carnival Legend is a smaller ship but still has plenty of activities to keep kids and adults entertained. It is not crowded at all even though we sailed on a sold out cruise. There was never a wait at the buffet lines for food and no wait for elevators. It is easy to arrive a bit late for a show and find a seat (yes, it is in the back though). The ship was kept clean and looked nice. I have not done many cruises (4) but do like how this ship differs in interior design from other ships. Each public space is different with a different name and theme. It is fun to see new things and all the windows let you just sit in a quiet place and watch the sea. My family just did a cruise on the super mega size Royal Caribbean ship and we all enjoyed but believed it was overpriced and we just waited in long lines everywhere and there were no quiet places to go to escape the crowds. The Legend has many places to just get away. The food was great and the service was excellent. We wished for a few USB outlets in our room but had everything else we needed. I wish the ship would skip Nassau as that port is just so busy and all shops are expensive now. Freeport is the place for cheap trinkets now. To sum it all up my family all agrees we would love to do another trip on the Legend and after some research we discovered the Legend is part of the Spirit class of ships that all have different interior design themes, and we would also try a Spirit calls ship as well.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau is overcrowded. The vendors are expensive now and it is hard to find a good deal. The updates to the port are nice but you pay extra for everything.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Great place to relax and only 1 ship at a time is there.
