Great cruise! Not sure if I would sail on the Legend again. I prefer a larger ship with more to do. However it was a good, nice cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy embarkation. However, they had posts with your arrival time & some where over on the staff side. It was a little confusing. We were waiting when we could have been on the ship already.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was good across the board! We only ate in the MDR & buffet. We had reservations for the Steakhouse, but canceled because the MDR had similar food & was delicious!
We did do the Dr. Suess breakfast with the kids. Food was good & was a cute experience.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
In our cruise group, people who have been on the Legend in the past complained about how little activities this cruise had. I felt there was ample to do. The shows were ok, the comedian I saw (Murry V) was great!
The Fitness center was nice, however the one hot tub I went in on the lido was not hot at all, which was disapointing. Didn't try any others.
This is a small ship, so don't expect a ton of activities.
Entertainment

DJ was good! Rock show was good, didn't really enjoy The Brits. Comedians were funny!
Children's Programs

My kids (both 9 y/o) enjoyed going.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our dining staff was top notch! Request Dedy & his crew if you can!
Our cabin steward was fine; did his job. Nothing more, nothing less.
The cruise director Ian was in training & it showed. I'll just leave it as that. ....
All in all, the staff was super friendly & always spoke with a smile! Enjoyed them all!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Easy to navigate design & was clean. However, it is an old ship so definitely showing its signs of wear. There was an area near the coffee bar on deck 2 that constantly leaked.
People complained that the room temperatures were not constant & there were times when the AC went out completely. Then when it was running, it had a tendency to be very cold.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a standard balcony room. My husband & I and 2 kids. Was tight, but we managed. Hate the shower curtain, but what can you do. Room was clean enough. I did the rest.
Ship tip
Accept this is an old ship & to not expect perfection.
Didn't expect much given what I have heard. Woke up to a very industrial looking port. However, I really enjoyed it. People were very friendly & the shopping was fun!
Wish we were able to stay in our rooms & they called us down to disembark by deck. Less congestion on the elevators. We had to carry our luggage down 6 flights. I like to workout, but didn't enjoy, lol. Other than that, was ok.
Glad to hear you made the best of what was offered to enjoy your trip. Older ships like the Legend are definitely more about the ports they can visit that the new mega ships can't fit in, so look for those special sailings like to Greenland or Panama canal. Sorry you had a trainee, Cam the regular CD is well seasoned and full of energy.
