Review summary

This was a spur of the moment cruise with just my friend and I. It was very relaxing and we had a good time.

We had a 12pm boarding time and we were on the ship before that (my friend and cabin mate is platinum). We were actually the 3rd and 4th passengers on the ship! It was so quick and easy!

The buffet was lacking a lot of choices. I recently sailed Celebrity and there was not even half the choices on Carnival. Main dining room service was wonderful but we felt the menu wasn’t as good as previous Carnival Cruises.

There was so much entertainment! The shows were great. Quite a few comedians for a 6 night cruise. Karaoke, trivia, piano bar and casino kept us busy. We did feel the hot tubs were “over used” with up to 10 people trying to fit in one.

We did a ship excursion to Banana Bay Beach. Very small group. It was so peaceful! We were served a welcome drink, picked our lounge chair, and no one bothered us. Nice sandy beach.

Locals at the end of the pier harassing the visitors for business is never enjoyable. We went to the beach on our own. It was expensive in my opinion. $15 per chair and $30 per umbrella. We stayed a few hours but we were constantly bothered by vendors to buy drinks, excursions, souvenirs.
