All in all, we had a great time during our cruise. Between all the entertainment shows and games, there was plenty to do and fun to be had. Anything that there was to complain about, like cold ship temperatures and internet outage, was not due to Carnival’s lack of planning of customer care.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Embarkation was delayed when debarkation was extremely delayed. We can understand when circumstances beyond our control cause disruption, but communication can alleviate unnecessary complaints. Once on board, we learned that the returning 14 day cruisers had a lot of luggage that had to clear customs. Once they were cleared, embarkation went smoothly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate several meals in Truffles Restaurant for dinner and brunch. During our 7 day cruise we choose Lido buffet mostly for breakfast and had a chance to eat at least once at Guys Burger, Chopsticks, Pirate Pizza, Deli, Blue Iguana Cantina. We always eat our celebratory meal (this cruise was our 27th anniversary) in the Steakhouse. I purchased peel and eat shrimp at the Seafood Shack (Mardi Gras was better). We enjoyed all the food and everything tasted good.

Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows and performers were enjoyable, all were very professional and well rehearsed. All the musicians, DJ’s, and comedians were good too. We loved how Cam, the cruise director, and the fun squad were engaged and pulled all the entertainment together.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
5 Star. No other words can describe the ship’s personnel.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Clean and well maintained. Every area of the ship was always being wiped, mopped, washed and/or painted every day. The design made things and places easy to find. Also, if you like to walk the length of the ship, you can walk deck 3 and there is a track on the 10th deck.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The cabin was a balcony with left side orientation and could sleep four. However, I can’t imagine 4 adults sharing a stateroom that size. The age of the ship shows in the furnishings and balcony, but the stewards do their best to make sure the staterooms are clean and comfortable. Our refrigerator was replaced when we informed them that the one in the room was not cooling at all. Our biggest complaint was that we were cold nearly the whole trip. The temperature control on the wall does not seem to control any heat. It’s just there to control air conditioning and no way to turn it off. There was a continuous flow of cold air blowing. We had to improvise by covering the vent and requesting a blanket from our room steward.
Ship tip
Leave the ship early to get a lounger and a good spot on the beach.
Small cruise terminal. No excursions offered here. There was a bit of a delay getting into the parking lot for our cruise, but all the employees seem to have a system to get you in, bags checked and cars parked or passengers drop off. There is a small shopping center nearby, but it’s not a safe walk. So, if you get to the terminal early and want to go there, I recommend going there before getting out of your car.
Beautiful beach to spend a lazy day. Get to the beach early to get your perfect spot and secure loungers and clamshell for shade. Lunch is provided on the island so you don’t have to go back to the ship to eat. We did not do any excursion.
Well organized disembarkation process. We checked our bags the night before. Once we were cleared for debarkation, we were off the ship and on our way in 45 mins.
