Review summary

Worst cruise we have ever taken. I got Covid on the cruise and couldn’t do 1/3 of the ports or activities. The comp for getting it on the ship and being isolated was a joke. Will never cruise carnival again.

You take a chance every time go where there’s crowds of people. Pretty dumb to blame Carnival. Oh well, more room for the rest of us.

Three days after getting home from my cruise in October I tested positive for COVID. Did I get it on the ship maybe. Probably since I cruised from my home port so no air travel, hotel, taxi, restaurant. Do I blame Carnival? No. Will I cruise Carnival again? Yes. In fact I am booked on a 14 day cruise on Carnival in January 2023.

Just wondering, did you demand compensation from any hotels you stayed at on the way to the ship? Taxis? Planes? Buses? Restaurants? You might have picked up COVID at any of those places. Do they all owe you a free meal, ride, or stay? If Carnival gave you anything, you should be grateful. They owe you nothing. You should be charged extra if you’re the one that brought it onto the ship.

I am sorry you caught covid. I don't see how Carnival is to blame. COVID is on all ships, airlines, hotels, supermarkets, etc

Sorry you became ill.

I'm curious, when you said you got covid on the ship, do you mean that you started having covid symptoms or that they tested you because you had been in close contact with someone who had symptoms, even though you didn't have any symptoms yourself?

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

Do you think any other cruise line would have been different? If you didn't get sick, and it is a shame you did on vacation, you would have given everything a good rating.

Compensation from a business because you contracted Covid. First, you cannot pinpoint where Covid was contracted. You traveled to the terminal, you likely went to a restaurant, went to stores shopping, possibly even flew. You were around other who were around others. Could you have contracted it on the ship, absolutely, but you knew this before you booked the cruise. If businesses have to compensate customers because Covid is contracted within their walls, you better get ready to stay home, because businesses will cease to exist. Guys, be realistic before posting nonsense. Consider this, if Covid is of major concern, do not go into the world.

I'm not comfortable with the idea of holding any entity responsible for your getting a contagious illness

The mask does not prevent anything...

The only thing terrible is that you think you should be compensated for getting sick
