Review summary

All in all if you are a family with people of different ages and interests carnival is the cruise for you. Bring your pre and probiotics, tums, Tylenol etc because the food is processed and the amount of alcohol you have to consume to get a buzz is ridiculous.

Embarkation

The process was very fast. However, when I checked my bags I added a bottle of champagne, not knowing it was supposed to go in my carry-on. The attendant that was helping to load my luggage never said anything... It was confiscated.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The neveauh restaurant was great. Atmosphere service and food were top notch. The truffles dining room food was ok but lacked any real taste, the fast food options were tasteless. The breakfast was processed and tasteless. The drinks were orange drink and apple drink too sweet and super cheap. The alcoholic drinks were barely alcoholic. After 10 drinks I barely had a buzz but I did have a headache.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were a lot of great activities and shows the cruise director was dope.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows were great. The singers and dancers were amazing.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My daughter loved the teen club. O2 she had lots of fun

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Rossi and Komang from the dining room was great, he was funny, respectful, attentive and all around efficient. Enrique and DeWa were also great. Susanna from the dining area was not so nice when I didn't make a reservation for open brunch. She was condescending and attempted to shame me for the slight. I did not appreciate her attitude so I just left and got food on the lido deck.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I didn't like the salt water pools, and I thought the hot tubs were small and slight. Most only fit 4-5 people and didn't even have functioning jets. The pools were also small for such a large ship. Many things on the ship were broken or non function able. Maintenance was very busy during my 7 day cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

Geraldine was great. We had a lot of clothes and shoes and she straightened it up every day. She was respectful, efficient and courteous.

Ship tip

Go to the silent party!

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

No, just boarded and departed.

Grand Turk Island

The water was amazing.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

The flies are my lunch before I could even sit down then they just took it and left me hungry. We should be able to use our drink package while on the island!

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
I didn't know this port was mainly for shopping. The beach is a 45 min walk or 15 minute drive.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy. The ship was traveling very fast on the way home which resulted in a lot of sea sickness and me just staying in my room the last sea day.
