The cruise was very enjoyable and relaxing. The ports of call were very beautiful and the local people very friendly. The ship's staff very helpful and willing to do whatever was needed to make the trip enjoyable. The cruise line needs to make some adjustments to some of the processes.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Tied down by health protocols and systems glitches.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Late dining caused a choice between eating and some of the shows.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Serenity adult area was less then 8 feet from the onboard water slides and a very small area. There was little serenity.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Shows were great and the cruise director Cam Chavis always kept the party going, onboard and iff.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room Stewart Jonathan was the greatest always there to help and knew our names before we boarded. He is an asset to Carnival and should be used as the model for other employees and is the kind of person needed in a supervisory role. All of the staff was first rate and very friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was clean and with very few problems of any kind.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It all falls back to Jonathan and the preboarding research done about how to make the cabin as efficient as possible.
Ship tip
Get an early dinner time, on at sea days reserve chairs of clam shells early because they are few in number in the adult area.
The beach was great the transfer from the ship to the shore was a bit slow. Once there visited the "local" side behind the chain link fence and the people were very friendly and welcoming.
The choice of carrying your luggage to get an early leaving time was not completed. We stayed on deck 4 and they started with people staying on deck 8 and worked their way day. The checked luggage travelers were to be the late disembarking passengers. By the time they got to deck 4 we were in with the checked luggage passengers and it was a hectic scene. Everyone trying to get to the dock and us having to pull our luggage in the crowd. If you advertise carrying your luggage gets you off the boat first that's the way it should be. Not crowded in with people pushing to get off the boat to go claim their luggage.
