Review summary

problem with alcohol package - if I have 15 drinks a day I should not have to wait 5 mins in between ordering drinks when I have trouble getting a servers attention as it is.

the food was excellent the bad rating is for the drink package. If you spend $500 on a alcohol package there should not be the restriction on ordering drinks - I should not have to wait 5 minutes when i already waited a long time to get a servers attention. If I have 15 drinks a day I should be able to use them at any time and get any quantity. If I travel Carnival again I will not buy the drink package.

I think those rules are one, so others can get a chance to order in between your orders and two, so binge drinkers don't kill themselves. It's usually a young college age kid who chugs to much, too close together and gets alcohol poisoning. Older drinkers are usually mature enough not to binge.

Gwbigdog Princess has rules under the drink package contract too... ● Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 beverages per 24-hour period (6 a.m. to 6 a.m.). Alcoholic drinks requested above the daily limits are at the discretion of the shipboard management and crew and charged at regular menu prices. ● Shipboard management reserves the right to add additional restrictions and revoke or cancel the Plus Beverage Package at any point during a guest’s voyage for any reason with or without a prorated refund. Additional actions may be taken if guests: • Become intoxicated • Provide beverages to other guests or do NOT comply with the terms, conditions and limitations of the package • Exhibit behavior that is inappropriate, a safety risk to themselves or others, or become offensive or disruptive to other cruise guests or staff • Exceed, or attempt to circumvent, the daily limits and service limitations outlined

When you buy the Cheers package you agree to the terms of the 'CONTRACT' and reserve the right to refuse service for any reason! The reason for the limits and the waiting period is for a reason. You can only get one drink at a time, with a limit between drinks is so you don't get a drink for another person without the package, which is the biggest reason. They don't want you downing 15 drinks in 15 - 20 minutes and get so sh!t faced and do something stupid that could possibly get you or someone else injured or arrested thrown off the ship and banned from cruising! So stop looking at a cruise as a floating bar for alcoholics and more as a place to relax, you have a full 24 hours to casually have 15 drinks, maybe if you grease the wheel, instead of arguing, the bartender may make the drink a little stronger then it should be!
