Review summary

A nice relaxing & inexpensive cruise. This is effectively the same cruise we went on in October, only on the Pride instead of Legend. The Legend is in better shape having just got out of an upkeep. Smooth sailing on way down, a little rough on the return trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Baltimore is an extremely easy port to embark from. We were on, effectively, the same cruise two months prior. We were boarding group A1, but they were sending people right through as you checked in. In other words, you did not have to wait to board. TIP: If driving, be sure not to arrive too much before your arrive window, or you will be asked to come back later.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate at the main dining for dinner, no specialty on this cruise. Nothing negative to say about our experiences for dining.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Did attend 2 of the playlist performances.

Children's Programs

No children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Dining Staff was led by Yunita and her team of Bandana and Shangreiwon. We ate in the main dining for all 7 nights and were very happy with the service we received. No complaints whatsoever in this regard. Very efficient team. Yunita saw us at breakfast, Half Moon Cay, and other locations and made sure she stopped by to say hello. We really liked the Maรฎtre Dโ€™ Desi. She had a lot of energy running around making sure everything ran smoothly. She stopped by to check on us, found out our daughter and husband were on their honeymoon and made sure our Dining Team made it special.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Legend had recently had an upkeep on her with the new livery. I noted that she was a light brighter inside, especially compared to the same class Pride which we wrote two months prior.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We shoot for the interior with obstructed view because of price and that it comes with a full window. Being on Level 4 is very convenient as well. Room was good size and in good condition. I want to say that this room sits right above the Arcade, so you will hear the machines all day and all night. If you are a light sleeper, avoid this room. There is a piano game in which the sound cuts through and you will hear the same "noise" over and over again. We, fortunately were okay with it.

Ship tip

See the note about the room we stayed in and the possible distraction.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
Embarkation / Debarkation. We live 1 hour away, so can only comment that the port is easy to access. If driving in, avoid stopping anywhere near the port as it is hard to find parking at stores, etc.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
I think the port is getting better and look forward to completing the waterfront. It is the port that everyone loves to hate - I will not comment on that part. We always take a walk to the fish fry area as we love their food.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Never a complaint about the best beach.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
We did not leave the ship, but as of December, they finally opened the bars there.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I think that it went well enough.
