Review summary

This was a special trip for me and my family. Our first time cruising. Our first time even going out of the country. A true "bucket list" opp for us and Carnival delivered beyond 100%! We cannot wait to go on another cruise and wish to send our most sincere thanks to the entire staff and crew for making this entire trip a once in a lifetime experience for us all!

Service and Staff

We had constant interaction with 3 primarily. Baptiste was excellent! Attentive, caring, and never let us feel nothing but important and catered to our every need. Mohammed was excellent as well. Really connected with my family and made each interaction more personal of a connection. But there is one that stands out ABOVE the rest. Dante Campos! I am having a hard time finding the words to adequately describe the experience he provided to my entire family. BEYOND friendly! BEYOND excellent customer service! A truly genuine soul whom we came to care about greatly. Over the past two years of COVID we lost the ability to truly connect with someone, get to know and care for them, and just really enjoy a new friendship and that is just a fraction of what Dante provided to us. When we were preparing to leave our cabin on the last day I actually cried because I was going to miss Dante and the conversations we all had with him. He has become very special to my entire family; so much so that if there was a way we could find out which ship he was going to be on we would book that ship for that reason alone regardless of where it was going or how much it cost. Please convey to Dante just how appreciative we are and let him know HE is the one memory of this vacation we will hold dear to our hearts forever!

Traveling during the COVID pandemic was nerve-racking.. UNTIL we boarded the ship. From the moment we embarked to the time of disembarkation, I never felt safer! I work in a hospital setting and have since the start of COVID-19 and i can say without a single doubt I felt safer on board the Legend then I do at work or even going to my local grocery store. The hand sanitizing stations were placed adequately throughout the ship; crew members were continuously visible cleaning and sanitizing areas; and the "sip and cover" reminders from Leigh the CD were substantial. Attending shows and even celebrating New Years Eve were done safely! Well done Legend!!

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room! The staff took excellent care to make sure it was kept clean and sanitized throughout the course of our stay. Phartwon (hope i spelled that correctly) was just excellent and we adored the way he greeted us every time we saw him!

Ship tip

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

We did the tour excursion of this island. Spent 3 hours in a van driving around. With the COVID restrictions there, I wouldve preferred to have done a beach excursion and not see the poor side of the island and their people. I will say I did very much enjoy the Rum Cake store; the Tea store; and the Queens Staircase, they were bucket list stops.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Tinder service to and from was on time and amazing. Friendliness of staff once there was excellent. Again, we had interactions with Baptiste and Mohammed who took excellent care of us. The excursion we chose was the clamshells as we are fair-skinned family and they were lovely and very clean. We opted to rent floats and spent the day floating and relaxing. The buffet was good.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

While we chose to not do an excursion, we did walk around and toured the straw market and some of the local food booths. I feel like in just doing this we were able to get a feel for the Bahamian life style more-so here than in Nassau.

Disembarkation

So easy, ran early and we had no issues at all. We chose to carry our luggage off and were able to leave our cabin, still have breakfast, and disembark with ease.
