Review summary

Really great first Covid-era cruise. Smaller ship, fewer passengers, removed some of the angst. Carnival's commitment to cleaning/sanitizing was very welcome.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Covid testing resources could have been more available

Ship experiences

As always, the food was plentiful & delicious

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Waterslides, mini golf, two great pools on the Lido Deck

Entertainment

5 out of 5
two great live bands, enjoyed 3 of the 4 comedians, the main stage shows were good but not great

Children's Programs

No children on the trip with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were helpful, courteous & really glad to be back to work

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
smaller ship, easy to navigate. attention to hygiene & cleanliness was outstanding

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
really nice room, although a little tight for three guests. we weren't able to enjoy our balcony as we'd hoped due to a couple neighbors using their balconies to smoke

Ship tip

RedFrog Pub was the best! Great music, Rueso & Titus are outstanding bartenders.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
We stayed with family in Baltimore prior to embarkation, lots to see & do. Enjoyed the crab cakes & the Maryland Zoo.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Did a walking tour - informative & got to see different parts of the city. A couple dicier areas in the city, but overall experience was good. Businessowners were glad to see the return of the cruise ships.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful beach. Horseback riding excursion was excellent.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Cruise terminal is in a very industrial area, the bus ride to get to the excursions is a little long. Having said that, it was well worth it - swimming with the dolphins was one of the highlights of the trip!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized, moved quickly. Only 1800 passengers on this trip, that definitely helped with the logistics.

Thanks for the review. It was very helpful. Sailing on this ship for the first time on Feb 6 and also have not sailed with Carnival since 2011 so I had a lot questions. Your review answered them especially about the cleanliness and food.
