Review summary

Very enjoyable, rest and relaxation. Fantastic beverages.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkment was so easy at the Tampa port, we pulled up in front of the port, checked our luggage, we had pre-paid valet parking, staff came over took my car, we walked directly into the check-in point, checked in, waited for about 20 minutes, our section was called and we were in the ship before we knew it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
After being on several cruises, the quality of the food on the Legend was poor. The Buffet was not very visually appealing, quality of the food was poor compared to a competitor cruise line. Limited variety. The pizza stand and the deli was our go to since there was little else that looked appetizing. The coffee was fair, and the tea choice was terrible. The best meal we had was the Sea Day Brunch, the 12-hour French toast was fantastic.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Did not use the pools, rock climbing or fitness center

Entertainment

5 out of 5
On board activities was excellent. We really enjoyed trivia with DJ Dean, and the shows in the Follies in the evening. The singers and dancers were fantastic.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Good staff, friendly, helpful and attentive.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Clean, and in good repair from what we could visually see. It’s and older ship. The decors was a little odd, but not off putting. The layout was easy since it was a small ship. My companion was a smoker and the smoking area on deck 9 has lots of open air, and not offensive to me as a non-smoker.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean, plenty of room for two, nice balcony, good view. Our room steward, Kurniawan, was nice, friendly, not over bearing. Introducing himself on the first day, asking our room preference, knowing our names and speaking to us every time we passed him in the hall. No complaints at all about our accommodations.

Ship tip

Enjoy and relax, look around.

Ports of call

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
First of all, it’s a 5 mile tender from the ship to Belize City, it was a nice ride and easy to get off the ship onto the tender. We went to the Alton Ha Myan Temple. We got on an Air Conditioned bus and took and hour ride to the Temple. It was very informative, our tour guide, Andy, was knowledgeable about the area, sharing history and information. The Alton Ha was amazing. The country side drive was beautiful, but a true view of the cost of living, lots of poor living conditions. It makes you appreciate what we have in America.

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
We arrived the day before, stayed at a hotel on Tampa Bay, and spent the day at Clearwater Beach.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Well, I can say is ...... the WORST disembarkation ever. Getting off the ship was smooth, but the experience in the port was terrible. It took 1 1/2 hours to get through the customs line. There were only 2 agents checking passports for over 2,000 cruisers. Standing in line was awful, especially if you have mobility and back issues. It will be long time before I cruise out of Tampa again, just because of the disembarkation process. The valet parking was fantastic, I gave my parking ticket and within 5 minutes I had my car and was on the road.
