Amazing experience. Everything we hoped for and more!
Embarkation

Second time cruising out of Tampa and we were on the ship with a Guy's burger in hand by noon without FTTF or platinum status! Excellent port to embark!

Food and Dining

Guys was ridiculously good this trip. So much so that I never even made it to Blue Iguana for their yummy taco salad. Main dining room was awesome. I choose too many beef dishes however and stuffed myself by day 4. But like a champ, i just toned it down with some avacado toast instead and made it through.
Bonsai Sushi
5 out of 5
We introduced our kids to sushi with an appetizer at Bonsai. We just had a few rolls but the service was still great and the sushi tasted amazing. Great way to expand our kid's palettes.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed trivia and some shows. The entertainment was as expected. I wouldn't say anything mind blowing but very good for an all inclusive selection. Nothing too racey or inappropriate like I had read in other reviews.

Children's Programs

Our 2 and 4 year olds really enjoyed the crafts and toys. Our 10 and 11 year old still aren't sold on camp Carnival and prefer not to go very often. Sad since Carnival has lots of fun activities for them and the staff is very friendly. My older kids are just lame!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff always makes the cruise. We work in a tourist town catering to tourists and it's not an easy job. I've never been disappointed with Carnival staff. They make the company in my opinion. They keep everything clean and neat and try their best to fulfill every request.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I really liked the layout of the Legend. Much like the Pride it is super easy to make your way around the ship without getting stuck having to backtrack because you ran into a dead end.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin steward "P" was awesome and made our 10yo son feel super special. Always used our names. Great guy!
Ship tip
This was our 3rd cruise and best yet! If your first cruise isn't amazing maybe you just need to try again until you find your cruise comfort zone. It gets even better when you know your onboard preferences and can make sure you make time for what you truly enjoy onboard.
Very enjoyable tour to jungle nature park. We did the ship excursion and learned a lot about the culture. Our kids loved the pools and the food was excellent!
Outside of the port is pretty poor. I would probably recommend sticking with an excursion. We did a ship excursion to Gumbalimba park. Our tour guide St Christopher did a great job. The monkeys and bird and lizards were an amazing sight. Another once in a lifetime experience for us and our kids.
Safe port. We took a taxi to the turtle center which was an amazing experience. Snorkeling in their man made tank was a once in a lifetime experience. Then we took a public bus back to port and spoke with a local on the way back. Such amazing people.
Great port but we did the dolphin experience at Dolphonaris. The excursion was nice but was pretty disappointed that they wouldn't let us take our camera with us and the photos were either $40 each or $260 for all. Ugh, unfortunately we just opted out of any of the pictures but the memories are still nice.
