Review summary
There was nothing overly special about this cruise except for the fact that it goes to Hawaii. Not enough activities offered during the sea days. Lack of commitment to the Hawaiian theme. Expect to make your own entertainment if you are under the age of 60 because nothing offered will be of much interest.

@jennaj05 I am a) not a man, b) not allergic to fun and c) not part of the "whine club" I cruise frequently and have been on over 20 cruises - I've enjoyed most and a few left some to be desired and I gave my honest opinion of this cruise. I didn't say there were no live bands or comedians - we did have 4 comedians as well and we enjoyed them. However, even if you enjoy it 10 nights in a row of what was essentially the same comedy is not enough to keep most people spending decent money on a cruise entertained. There was also little (read: not absolutely nothing but not a lot) to do an sea days and 5 sea days is a long time at sea (which I never felt until this cruise I always felt the more sea days the better!) As my review states, especially being on the very young end of the demographic for this cruise, I felt the entertainment was lacking - simple as that. Example: there would be 5 live music acts each night but they would all be playing the SAME 60s and 70s music - one on the piano, one on the guitar, one as a duet, etc. (except for Sky Green in the acoustic lounge who did an excellent job of playing a variety of music the nights she was performing) It is completely reasonible that you could enjoy the entertainment and I could not and that doesn't make my review any less valid than yours.

I remember in our earlier days of cruising, when we would be sailing to the Caribbean or Bermuda, there was a live steel band playing and that made the atmosphere just right. As time went on, those live bands were replaced in many cases by D.J.'s playing pop or current music. Kind of took the air out of the experience. The up side is you got to visit an Island that is on our bucket list!! You didn't post about Hawaii but hope you had a blast.
