Review summary

We sailed right after the 4th of July.  This is a 7 day cruise with 4 stops.  The stops are why we decided to do this cruise and they did not disappoint.  The ship itself is very nice, however, many of the services on board were average or below.  The entertainment was not the quality that we have seen on other cruises.  Also, there were not many evening shows.  The food was average.  We had a problem with our room TV the first day and had to report it over 10 times before we were finally told on day 4 that it was not only our room, but several and there was nothing to do about.  That is fine, but when we asked about a credit to our account to this, we were told sorry.

I did use the spa this time, which is only the second time I have used it in over 9 cruises.  That was really a great treat, but it can get pricy.  We had a balcony room and I really did love it, but we did not use it as much as we thought.  They do allow smoking on the balconies and if you are not a smoker, you will probably experience smoke when you are out there.

Our 14 year old son used the Circle C for teens and he did enjoy a few of the activities, but found that alot of the time he preferred to just hang out with us.

The itinerary is the big attraction on this cruise.  These stops are all awesome.  We did scuba in Cozumel, which was awesome.  We did a shark & ray snorkel in Belize.  This excursion was very well worth the money.  We had a great time and got to touch a small shark (it is an all day excursion).  In Honduras, we did a dolphin snorkel at Anthony's Key which was beyond awesome.  If you only dream on swimming in the ocean with dolphins, that dream can come true.  There was something truly magical about this experience.  All of these excursion were booked through Carnival with the exception of Grand Cayman.  We booked that one through .  We have used their excusions in the past and they have always turned out even better than the cruise ships excursions.  The one we booked this time was a jet ski to stingray city and snorkel.  We had an awesome time.  I would definitely do this again.  The only problem we had is that there should have been two guides but one did not show up so we went ahead with only one.  Well, there was a problem.  My son tipped the jetski over at Stingray City and my husband had to drive the jet ski the entire time we were at Stingray City in order to pump out all the water the jet ski had taken on.  Had there been the other guide, he would have been able to do that.  Anyway I feel the guide did the best he could and so I would definitely do this again.

If you are looking to visit Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and Grand Cayman, this is definitely the way to go.

Entertainment

Comedy shows were Great, Shows were below par.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My son liked a few of the activites. I don't think there are enough organized activities for the tweens.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most Service is great, I only give this because of Guest Services and how poorly they handled our complaint.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Beautiful ship and they have added another slide up top. It's pretty scary, only did it once.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
Tampa is convenient for us, so that was beneficial. If you are visiting, Busch Gardens is here and is an awesome theme park. Also the Florida Aquarium is right next to the ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Water is beautiful here. We have been here several times and we always do something different. The Tulum Mayan Ruins is a great way to see ruins. We have done horseback riding which was great and very affordable. Several snorkel trips and scuba (great way to try scuba)

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
Belize has a long tender, and the excusion we did has a long boat ride, but well worth it. The people are great and the water is awesome.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
it. Also there is a beach area to the right of the gangway. That place if free and it totally awesome. There are restaurants, bars, beach chairs, kayak rentals. There is even a reef off a pier. We brought our snorkel gear and were blown away at the reef. One of the best snorkeling experiences. I think they may even rent equipment there too.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Grand Cayman alway has the clearest water anywhere. We alway do a water excursion and no matter what, we are always blown away.
