12 Night Baltic Wonder & St Petersburg

Sail Date: July 27, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We chose this cruise because we love sailing with Carnival and they were offering the Baltic an especially St Petersburg, Russia which was 1 of the things to do on our bucket list. Well it was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The palaces and churches was beautiful. We did Carnival's 2 day Grand Tour excursion and were not disappointed. Our guide Natasha was the best. The other places: Copenhagen, Germany, Helsinki, Tallinn Estonia, Amsterdam were also very good and we enjoyed every one of them. Carnival is a very relaxed cruise line and we always feel welcomed there.
The evening shows were all very professional and the Legend still has a orchestra which helps to enhance the dancers.
I would highly recommend this cruise for anyone interested in the ports, they were well worth the money.
Ship Quality
The ship will be going in for a update in Jan 2014
Food and Dining
There is a good selection to chose from
Cabin / Stateroom
I enjoy the Balcony when coming in/out of ports and also just to sit and relax
Service and Staff
Always friendly, We always get a hello
Show 1 rate
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
There are alot but I usually just stay in the sun or the casino
Destinations and Excursions
Dest. were great and I book most excursions with the ship due to the fact of it being in a foreign country I feel more confident we will get back to the ship on time.
Dover (London), England
Didn't get to see much of it, But the White Cliffs are really nice.
Copenhagen, Denmark
We just did a hop on hop off bus, not the best excursion
Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany
We went to Wismar and Schwerin which was an quaint place and had nice architecture
Helsinki, Finland
I went to Porvoo a small cute town, It poured out.
St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
you must see this. Do the 2 day Grand Tour.
Tallinn, Estonia
we did a Highlights excursion which was really informative saw the town, castle and had time to shop. Got a nice wool sweater there.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Anne Franks house was very good. But you need more than a hour to see it and read all the things inside.

The Legend is not a huge ship so getting around is very easy.
