Review summary
We choose this cruise because it went out of Tampa. I have been on Carnival crusises in the past and knew it would not be a luxary cruise even though we would be staying in a suite. However, the service on this cruise I felt was lacking. The VIP dining area was terrible and even the service in the upgraded steak house was only OK. The shore excursion desk hours were minimal and was difficult to time. This is an economical cruise, not one of fabulous service. The ports were all great with plenty to do.Ship experiences

Pros: The ship was clean and did not rock very much at all. Ken, the matrade, was wonderful. The ports were all great with plenty to do.
Cons: Food was only OK for breakfast and lunch and lacked variety. Dinner was much better in the dining room. Getting back on the ship after going into the port of call always ment long lines of standing in the sun waiting to get back in through security.
