Review summary
The Legend is basically the same ship as the Costa Mediterranea, which we sailed on last year. The ship is in fair condition...external decks and woodwork were not so clean. Interior hallway carpets were dirty. Our cabin was clean and in good condition, with the exception of our balcony. We sailed to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, and Isle de Roatan, Honduras. My favorites were Cozumel and Roatan. Would have preferred a bit more time in each port, even if it meant one less port. It's always nice to have an evening in a port. Our waitstaff was top notch. Our waitress, Indira, was wonderful...bonding with our 5 year old daughter to make her cruise special. The service combined with the awesome dinners made our dinnertime memorable. Ship activities were so-so. The nightclub was quite lame during the evenings we stopped in. The casino was fun and staffed by friendly people. The classical trio who performed in various areas of the ship were very very good. Tired of the same hairy chest competition...need to create some new contests...maybe a worst sunburn contest.Ports of call
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Pros: Ports of call, food, shows
Cons: Smokers & smell of cigarettes EVERYWHERE! Too many FAT Americans!
Recommends Carnival Legend? Yes!
