Review summary
We have been on a number of cruises, including New Years, with several cruise lines. This was our first with Carnival. Generally we found the experience on the Legend to be pretty comparable to our previous experiences, which were on somewhat more expensive and sometimes more highly rated cruise lines. Our mini-suite was fabulous, and a very unique configuration at the back of the ship, with more room and a larger deck that we have ever had before. The Legend's midevil decor is wild and very destinctive. The swimming areas were never completely full...a first for us. The choices offered for both breakfast and lunch at the Lido buffet's were excellent. The captain's reception was the best we have attended, with excellent food and plenty to drink. The New Year's party around the pool was also extremely well done...and lots of fun. We enjoy the Casino, which is the biggest we have yet to experience. I wish our luck was better. We took advantage of the steak house option twice, which was excellent. The entertainment was similiar to prior experiences. As always, lots to do on the ship and ashore. We had one meal in the main dining room, where the steak was tough and full of grissle. This was our first meal ever on a cruise which was poor. However, all the other dinners in the main dining room were fine. Overall, this was a terrific cruise, and I would highly recommend the Legend to anyone.Ship experiences
