Review summary

Except for the experience with the bees on deck 18, the cruise was great.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We planned our boarding time but my wife needed a wheelchair. Everyone made it so easy and we got on the ship quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our dining room table staff was great. Innocenti, was the head waiter and he was supported well by Swampy and the other assistant. They helped us have a wonderful time! Thanks!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Spent our days on the Serenity deck, staff there was great. Had an issue with bees while in the port of Routan. Got stung twice and got medical attention. I was disappointed in the response by the crew to help with the bee problem. The bees were all over the fruit and bottles at the Serenity bar. Glad I did not order a drink from there. Again, no one was dispatched to be sure someone with an Alegeric reaction to bee stings was not affected. Very disappointed, I still need to pursue my options concerning this situation. Still itching from the stings!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Had minimal exposure to the entertainment but what we did experience was great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward (I) was exceptional. Waiters at table 408 were great. Incenti, swampy and the other waiter were great. Our room steward “I” was one of the best we ever had ! Thanks for all their efforts.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We cruised without kids, so being on deck 17 in the front of the ship and using the Serinity deck 18 made the ship layout perfect.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was ok. Layout was good for us. Wish the cabin was bigger!

Ship tip

If you are not traveling with children stay at the front of the ship near the spa and fitness center. The kids will be near the back where all the activities are and you will have a peaceful cruise.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

We live in Katy, Texas.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
My wife is blind and needed a Wheel Chair to get off the ship. We had Doug help us during our last cruise in May. We asked for him and he took care of us again. He took my wife off the ship, took us to get our bags, took us thru immigration, and all the way to the outside curb. He was willing to sit with my wife until I got the car. We told him this was a nice gesture but we were ok and he needed to get back to helping others and maybe making a few more dollars for himself.

Glad you mostly enjoyed the cruise. Bee stings can itch for days to weeks after. The cruise line can’t be held responsible for bees coming onboard the ship; they aren’t required to present travel documents…
