We will definitly crusie again on the Jubliee with the Grandchildren but for my wife and I we will go back to the smaller shipos.
Embarkation

Rainy day masses of people trying to get out of the rain, very few Carnival personnel outside and very few signs as to were and who should go. Once we finally found a Carinival rep we processed through. The lines were long but moved.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The new thing of using the HUB app was confusing at first but by the 3rd day we figurred it out and all was well. It really is helpful. The diversity of food offering on the ship were great. We were able to use some of the "specialty restaurants" (they had both complementary as well as additional charge options on the menu). We found the complementary items to be EXCELKLENT and never incuured a cost except for a speciality coffee. The main dining room was very nice. We ate there 3 times. I am still "very" old fashion and consider dining to be more upscale. Now with no white table clothes and using a QR code to order you feel like glorified Applebee's. The food was very good and plentiful and the choices were good. NEVER went hungry. Never got a pixzza the liner was always LONG!!
Onboard Activities

My wife and I are both over 75 so we are lookiung for relaxation and not ACTIVITY. So we both enjoyed just sitting around. My wife did like the casino.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I hesitate to give it just 4 stars as they should get 5. Carnival has really KICKED up the quality of the shows. There are 2 main show areas. The more traditional area is Jubliee Threater. The fisrt show was absolutely great. Good for the entire family. The second show was well produced but NOT family friendly. I was very disappointed that Carnival has decided they need to move in this direction. The fact that it was rated 18+ was NOT well disclosed. secondly it was not only for and "adult" audience it was also VERY - WOKE. In my opinion that was not necessary to carry the story line. The main BIG shows were in the open area and were beyond expectation. Hats off the Carnival for these shows.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
We did not use them but there appeared to be PLENTY activities for the children which is what Carnival is supposed to be KNOWN. FAMILIES!!!!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Carnival does an excelent job of training their staff. I did think is some isolated cases their service was not up to their standards.
Ship Quality

IT IS NEW!! The art work was very nice. Again I use the phrase KICKED UP. I have always thought Carnival made their ship pretty but this was Kicked up. Pleanty of spaces to just sit down and you need those as it is BIG! You really get your steps in. Ample quite places. Never really fely crowded even with a FULL ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Much improved over the older vessels. Plenty of plugs in the state rooms, showers are much nicer, no curtains, now glass door, still small but better designed. the sitting area is nice. Thought they could have done better with the placement of the TV. really had to be in bed to watch. The TV is at least large enough to see now. The lighing is much better. However, no light on the balcony. The Cloud 9 experience was not that great. The locker ares are now coedand not very well arranged. I will not use this class of service again. I will just purcahaase the SPA pass and select my own room. My wife does not use the SAP so that was a waste of money on her. The Spa area is on deck 5 and 6 and the cabins are on deck 17. So to get to the SPA you takle a private elevator to deck 5. However, finding the elevator on the first day is very difficult as there is NO signs directing you tot he elevator which is behind a closed door down a corridor thatis not identified. Once you find the secret all is well but that first day was a mess.
Always enjoy Galveston. However, due to the increased cruise activity we find it more cost effective to stay in Baytown the night before and drive in the next day. About a 35 minute drive to the cruise parking.
Cozumel is nice we have been there so many times I could be a tour guide. So we just get off and walk around the little shopping area, get a drink and buy a few things and get back on ship.
