Review summary

We loved it. Being forced to submit fifty characters is quite annoying so I'm typing this to avoid that.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Priority boarding was quick, the new terminal lounge in Galveston was very nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Lido Deck buffet and food layout is superior to any other class of Carnival ship. Hundreds of people are eating there at the same time but it still feels intimate. The four sided buffet islands are very convenient. The only long line we experienced was at the omelet station. The dining room service was pretty much as in all other Carnival ships we've sailed on, and that's a complement. The only disappointment was the poor service speed for our seaday brunch. After 25 minutes our order was taken by a server who seemed not to care. 25 minutes later, not food had materialized so we got up and left.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn't do everything, what we did was fun and the lines were minimal, this despite the ship being fully booked..

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good, especially the three Ukrainian violinists.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Except for out seaday brunch experience the service was excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's a new ship, we were on the 17th voyage, so everything was bright and shiny. The ship layout was wonderful, it never felt crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Glass shower doors were a welcome addition. Finally, a decent number of outlets and USB terminals. Closet space was excellent, we had more than enough space for three adultss.

Ship tip

If on an extended balcony with three in the room ask Guest Services to have your cabin steward bring a third chair for the balcony. for for

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

We drove in, got on the ship. Galveston wasn't a destination for us.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

More of a private island than a cruise destination if you don't pre-book an excursion. Nice. The chair lift to the beach is nice but not worth the price, IMO.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Several big ships were in so the shopping area near the pier was packed, despite that there was plenty to see.

Cozumel, Mexico

We took the Tulum tour. I recommend it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick. The one suggestion for improvement would be to have someone in the Theater at all times informing the priority debarkation guests which numbers had been called. We went in, no Carnival staff were there and we sat for 10 minutes before another guest casually mentioned they had already called numbers 1-5; we were 3.r fueststell way to hIe
