Review summary

Our first Carnival cruise. The Jubilee is a beautiful ship, the entertainment was great, food was disappointing, staff was attentive, activities were fun. All in all I think we prefer smaller ships and a different cruise line.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We arrived 12:30 - 1:00 the lines were still long but moved along. Luggage delivery to room was reasonable wait time. Wheelchair for my husband was very helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Drinks were good. We just drink regular cocktails. Our daughter loved the creations at Dr Inks and Alchemy. Food was underwhelming. MDR was good. Sea brunch was my favorite. Buffet for dinner was very disappointing. Food was lukewarm and did not look appealing. Good fast food options at Coastal Pizza, Guys, Big Chicken, Pig & Anchor and Blue Iguana. Chibang was good. Cucina deCapitano was disappointing. Food was sub par - tough pork chop and veal. Service there was poor.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Granddaughter liked Cloud 9. Serenity Deck was amazing. Pools and water slides were great. The ropes course was quite a challenge. Mini golf was fun and the Bolt was awesome!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great variety of high quality entertainment. Something for everyone. Nice touch to have live music in some of the bar areas.

Children's Programs

No children in our group.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was slow in some restaurants. But with sheer numbers of passengers I can understand that challenge. Our room steward was amazing. My husband sleeps a lot and no matter what time he finally left the room - when we got back it was straightened up with our towel animal (love them!) on the bed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Beautiful, well designed ship. Common areas were always clean. The only negative would be the elevator situation. Most of the time there is a long wait for those that the stairs are not an option. Almost need a cue so that those who are waiting longer get the next elevator. But sadly, people are not courteous. The Chat feature of the app was a joke. It was down a lot of the time and messages were delayed.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabins are small and the bathroom is ridiculous. Felt like an RV bathroom. We did not feel the mattress or pillows were comfortable. The balcony was adequate, was nice to have a small table between the chairs. Cabin was very clean and well maintained by our steward.

Disembarkation

We were scheduled for wheelchair assistance and never notified where to meet. The elevator and waiting areas were a nightmare.

We agree. The Jubilee is beautiful but the cabin and bathrooms are small. Smaller ships seem more comfortable.
