Review summary

We had a great time onboard the Jubilee, and would love to sail her again.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
There was a lack of signage from drop off to boarding. Asking questions usually got a "keep moving!" as the response.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The MDR was fine, but there was a decided lack of sides to order. For instance, my lobster was served with TWO broccoli crowns. No butter on the side. Beach Buns was great! Street Eats was wonderful. Shaq's Big Chicken and Guys were wonderful. La Cucina del Capitano was a letdown.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The Serenity Deck was fabulous, spacious with plenty of shaded sitting areas, etc. I was VERY disappointed that the Bolt was not in service. And, the windows in the Grand Central weren't opened to a technical issue.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows in Grand Central were outstanding. Those in the theater, eh...

Children's Programs

We were traveling first class (no kids)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Absolutely wonderful.!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It never felt crowded. Very nice!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was clean and pleasant, but decidedly narrow. One has to turn sideways to walk between the bed and TV, for instance. The couch was awkward to sit on, and Carnival's Excel ships have replaced the chair with this heavy, multi-function cube that serves as a seat, storage, and food tray. It done of it well. The bed frame was about 6" narrower than the mattress in King sized mode. Again, awkward and I worried about walking into it at night.

Ship tip

Explore!!

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

1 out of 5
It was during Mardi Gras, but there was absolutely NO signage for detours! Even the police were apologizing for the delays. I was less than 1/2 block from our parking and was told we had to drive nearly a mile in bumper to bumper traffic, turn around and go back through that same traffic jam (another 1 1/2 mile) and then guess where to turn left to get to the garage.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
There's a reason most Caribbean cruises visit Cozumel. It's a great spot.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
We booked a wonderful excursion that featured dancing from 5 areas of Mexico. Outstanding!

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras Did not visit port

We had already been to Roatan (and it was great,) but we wanted to explore the ship this time.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
The same lack of signage as embarkation.

Traveler Photos

Instead of a chair... Cove Balcony 16th Anniversary Bedframe too wide!

We were on the Jubliee the week before. I totally agree about the signage! It was really confusing.
