Review summary

I recently cruised aboard the Jubilee and it was so much fun! I have cruised before and Carnival did not miss with this ship and the cruise director. I wish there was better ports of call, better food, and more updates to the spa thermal suite area.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I wish the port had more clear signs indicating where to go for shuttles, embarkation, debarkation, and offered a better parking experience for passengers that are leaving the port and entering the port at the same time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
In the main buffet area, the food was mid at best. There were some things I liked and there was some things I didn’t like, but I ended up mainly eating from Guy’s Burger Joint, the salad bar, and Shaq’s Big Chicken. I tried the teppanyaki specialty dining restaurant, and I had a great time. The food was great and the service was excellent. I did not like the service at dinner time for the Pacific restaurant. It was slow and inconsistent, and could not host a large group of people, but during Sea Day Brunch the dining room was great. Guy’s Pig and Anchor BBQ was ok at best. Every restaurant and all the dining spaces on the ship was beautiful though.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The day that I went onto the waterslides, one of the slides was broken or needed to be serviced and it was the orange one so no further comment on that, but everything else was pretty great in the waterworks area. The gym’s equipment and its layout was new, nice, and spacious. The ropes course and the roller coaster was amazing and super fun, be prepared to pay $15 to ride Bolt the rollercoaster onboard. The lido deck parties and the activities on board led by the cruise director was extremely fun.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was located right under the Buffet area and below the Lido deck, it was a good room location. We also had great access to the elevators midship. We had the best room steward, (Yudha) every day we had a different towel animal everyday and he kept the room spotless!

Ship tip

It offers the same experience as the Mardi Gras and the Celebration, prepare to have fun!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

2 out of 5
There were six ships in total at different ports in Cozumel. (CCL Dream, CCL Jubilee, RCCL Voyager of the Seas, RCCL Enchantment of the Seas, Celebrity Constellation, Marella Explorer 2) It was just an overwhelming amount of people for the island, and made the island seem very congested and full of traffic.
