Review summary

I enjoyed my cruise. It was only 4 days, so very short. I will definitely go on more cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I would've liked the restaurants to be open longer. The specialty ones like Guy Fiero Burgers closed at 4 pm as did the Blue Iguana Taco bar.

Guy's Burger Joint

2 out of 5

The food was ok. I expected more flavor or more something from the burgers. It closes at 4 pm which is too early in my opinion.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
They had some fun activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The 2 comedian's we saw were very funny.

Children's Programs

No kids

Video Arcade

4 out of 5

Good selection of games, but needed a few more.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean, but also dated.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I was surprised at the size of my room. It was larger than I expected. My bed was super comfortable. Didn't wake up with a back ache all cruise long.

Ship tip

Eat at the specialty food bars for lunch because they close before dinner.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

3 out of 5
My embarkation port. No big deal.

Catalina Island, California

3 out of 5
Cute island. Pretty views. The houses were old and dated. I expected more luxurious houses than that. The boardwalk or esplanade was the best part. Not enough time to really enjoy anything.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
I researched this port before sailing, and found my own excursion. Just so happened our transport shuttle to downtown offered a tour for 35.00 (US) that included what the ship offered and more. I recommend Pai Pai Ecotoutism. You get to interact with the animals. I was with a Jaguar and a Capuchin monkey. Loved my time. The guides are volunteers and only work for tips. La Buffadora is just a Blowhole, pretty but nothing special. There is a street lined with vendors who are eager to take your money. Bargain well.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Went very quickly and efficiently.
