Review summary

A relaxing and refreshing getaway. Although I was a little disappointed in the food this time, and would have liked to have taken a more exotic cruise, this cruise was wonderful for a relaxing getaway with my wife. I was not prepared for the cruise to end, and was very disappointed when it was over. The staff and service was outstanding!

It seems to me that the food on the last cruise I took was much much better (same cruise itinerary, back in 1995). I was not impressed with the food this time, and the only food that I thought was outstanding were the hamburgers at the Guy Fierri grill.

There was an electrical short that caused the lights to come on spontaneously in the middle of the night, and one of the overhead lights kept flickering. We couldn't figure out why the lights kept coming on by themselves and then on day two the connection that was shorting out started making a crackling noise. We notified out Steward, and he had someone from engineering come to the cabin and fix the problem in short order.
