Review summary

Great for a large family with hectic schedules and a quick weekend cruise to get you together is perfect. There was just enough to do for this short trip. Any longer on board, we would've been bored. If you buy wifi, it will tend to un log you so you have to make sure your logged in all the time. Ask the guest services when it stops working, you just have to log back in.

Embarkation

I was surprised that it was moving faster than I read on a review.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good but I do notice it's not the best quality. What's great is my kids can eat whatever whenever they want which takes the pressure off from us if they're still hungry down to roomservice late at night which was quickly served by the way.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went to comedy every night. From PG with kids to 18+ late night. We went to casino, watched bands, piano bar, karaoke, musical shows both nights, waterworks, pool, party areas, and fitness center. Perfect entertainment for 3 night short trip.

Entertainment

Comedians had same jokes which I'm surprised considering they didn't have enough material for only 6 30 min shows? The musical show was great until they stopped it mid way because of technical difficulties.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters work hard. Our main waiter knew all of our 7 names even when we moved seats. Room attendant was curtious and greeted us right when we found our room.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For being old, it wasn't as bad as it should be however there are lingering smells in the hallways and main entrance lobby which isn't the best first impression.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For being small, it felt cozy and there was 3 of us in 1 and 4 in the other. I mean technically it's good for sleeping and the rest of day, you should be out and about.

Ship tip

For my kids which was their first cruise, I kind of gave it to them straight up on what to expect. Somewhat lessening their expectations so when they boarded it wouldn't be so disappointing if they assumed this grand luxurious ship. Because I dumb it down, they were pleasantly surprised it was better then what I made it. I took all the bad reviews and mentioned those "might" be's.

Clean. Because carnival didn't contract with the canopy excursion (zip lining and hanging bridges), our driver did not meet us outside but instead we had to walk a distance pass the security guards to meet them. For the price we paid, I was hoping we had our guide and car waiting. That part was very disappointing. However! Best time zip lining and going through hanging bridges. Our guide was gracious enough to take us to the blow hole, shopping, food, first place that invented margaritas, papad and beer for photos for an extra fee cheaper than if you booked that specific excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick if you follow your stations disembarkation times.
