Review summary

I've gone on 3 Carnival cruises; this ship seemed small. The pool was absurdly small and full of little unsupervised children; no lifeguard. The Serenity deck -for people over 21- was nice, but it doesn't have a pool. The dresses up night was very pleasant and we ended up buying more pictures than we anticipated. It was a pleasure to arrive to the cabin after the cleaning crew went through it.

Embarkation

We had VIFP status so we didn't have to wait on line at all. Very well organized. From the area big enough to support the amount of passengers, to the tags for the luggage.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We bought the drinking card at $50/day and I tried a lot of new drinks that I wouldn't have any other way. The buffet was varied but there were a lot of fried meals. There was enough of a selection for dinner and the portions were as smaller as served in a French restaurant, but you could have as many as you wanted. We liked the reserved seating vs the "whenever" where they gave you a pager when your table was ready.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We, a couple in their 50's, did not find much activities for us.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We watched 2 shows, the comedian was good. I would've love a magic show. Not happy with the options.

Children's Programs

We didn't travel with children.

Service and Staff

Very friendly. Always a small. A bit annoying.

Cabin / Stateroom

When I asked they told me that there wasn't any hair dryers in the bathroom and there was one. The balcony is terrible small but big enough to give you a breeder and lots of light. the put together beds to make it a King, got separated once. I also do not believe that they became a King size , more like a queen.

Ship tip

Get the drinking card! Better for families than for couples.

A pain to get in and out of the ship; lots of lines.

Ensenada, Mexico

Easy since the ship was docked in port. we rented a side by side ATV and went to La Bufadora geyser, views were beautiful.
