Review summary

My daughter and I had an excellent cruise, we were celebrating her 10th birthday. This was her first cruise and the look in her face just getting in the ship starting this new experience was priceless! Everything from facilities, to shows, to the service and the food was great. She especially liked the Kids club's activities which were a lot of fun. For me, it was a nice way to relax knowing that she was safe and having fun. The shore excursions were fine, but a bit pricey for the value. The water park is great for the kids and the serenity deck for adults is worth a visit or two. The spa is nice and the gym is spacious, however, the health workshops while interesting, were more a vehicle to sell their products, so be mindful of that and be clear with them since the beginning to avoid comments such as "you are wasting my time, you came to the workshop because you said you we committed to doing something and now you don't want to buy this treatment". Other than that, our experience was great and I highly recommend this cruise to first timers and/or families with kids (all ages!).

Some activities tend to overlap and it's easy to miss some of them. Try to arrange your schedule according to your priorities.

Cabin / Stateroom

It worked out well for us since it gave us direct access to the Atrium area where guest services, and shore excursions were. It's also in the mid level deck area so walking up or down was easy to get to the other main facilities such as dining rooms, spas, or even jogging tracks. We had two twin beds in an L shape configuration and that made the room feel more spacious.

Ship tip

Do use the "relaxed debarkation" service the last night of the cruise, so you can wake up a bit later the next day and maybe even enjoy breakfast since it's available from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. It's worth it!

This port area is far from everywhere so be mindful you will need taxis if you're not booked in a tour.
