Review summary
This was the 2nd cruise I've taken on Carnival. The boarding process was simple enough - we arrived around 2:30 PM and checked our luggage with the porters. It took approx. 1 hour or so to get onto the boat. Our luggage arrived about 1 hour later. About 95% of the staff we ran into throughout the cruise smiled and said hello to us. Room service was fantastic - the bed (pillows/duvet) was sooooooo comfortable and our room was almost always clean every time we came back to it. The ship is a little dated but it didn't bother us. Our weather was a little overcast (which sucked for June) so we didn't spend much time in the pool. Hot tubs were nice. Bars were nice and it was easy enough to get a drink. The alcohol adds up but their drinks are good! The dinners in the dining rooms were good (good service, too) but the breakfast/lunch was so/so. A lot of that food was a little tasteless and disappointing, though quite a few options. The deli (Reuben sandwich!!!) was awesome. There was a lot of partying which was fun but I wouldn't suggest taking younger children on the 3 day weekend cruise - tons of fun for us partiers! Ensenada is alright - did a bit of bar hopping and shopping but expect to be harassed the entire time by young children (and adults) to buy things. I, unfortunately, did not make it to any nightlife because I got a tad seasick in the evening however there is a lot to do - comedy shows (adult 21+), night club, Rock N Roll lounge, Blue's/Piano bar and a Casino with tables. Had a good time overall and for a good price.Ship experiences
