Review summary

All in all we loved our first experience and will definitely be doing another family trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy to check in, embark and find room.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Got a little more info on the Cheers and Bubbles sticker that wasn't fully explained when I ordered.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Didn't get to use the pools because of the chilly weather, but looked cleaned and well maintained.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Music, shows and performers were all excellent

Dynasty Main Lounge

5 out of 5

Beautiful lounge

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 6 year old son could not wait to check into his "club" everyday! My 16 year old met new friends at her club and stayed out longer than us parents...lol

Club O2

5 out of 5

Tailored to fit the age bracket 15-17.

Camp Carnival

5 out of 5

The staff were awesome...ended up knowing my son very personally and that made him feel special. Plenty of activities and games to keep the kids busy.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
very very friendly. Loved the diversity and getting to know where the staff all came from around the world.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Kept all areas clean. Even when my child got sea sick and had an accident in the lounge, the staff stepped up quickly to clean it up!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For the size, it was actually functional for a family of 4.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
where were embarked and disembarked...not really an excursion for us, but we did visit make a stop at Universal Studios the day before we set sailed

Catalina Island, California

5 out of 5
Beautiful island. Although the weather did not allow for sea excursion, we made do with other activities.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
This was our main adventure. The costs for these excursions are cheaper when purchased off the ship. Was able to get 3 excursions for 4 people for the price of 1 if paid via the ship.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
The only downfall is the disembarkation, was poorly communicated. When attending the session the night before we were told one thing, but then the day of, it was totally not what was translated. The crew didn't seem to be on the same page. People where told to line up in one area, but let another area leave before. I think signs should be posted.
