Of all the cruise I have been on I would rate Carnival the lowest for value. Fill characters to reach 150 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Embarkation

Was fast but I though security was being ridiculous would dump out small amounts of coffee and open water bottles said water was ok if in a can but not in a plastic bottle.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

When you are coming back from shore excursions they close the buffet and leave you with very few food choices. If you have late dinning you get about 5 hours to wait.
Onboard Activities

Pool area was way to loud and hot tubs were always filled with under 10 kids would question suitability for use after them.
Entertainment

Only was at one stage show the seats were not very comfortable the music was loud and not very good left half way through.

Waiter was good and efficient. Room steward did a very good job and was friendly. This was the first ship I was on that only dose room service once a day. I assume this is carnaval cutting costs. Also no table cloth on dining tables.
Ship Quality

The ship crew did a great job of keeping the ship clean but there is a fair amount of maintenance needed.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin has only one electrical outlet for couples with two CPAP machines this is a real inconvenience. Carnival should let you know that you need to bring an adapter if more than one item need to be plugged in.
Ship tip
Make sure you have a large balance on your credit card thing that are included on other cruse lines like most food from room service and drinks appear to cost. Also be prepared for some things at dinner have a $20.00 additional charge. Plus they really push extra drinks at dinner.
Parking at Long Beach is high $19.00 not $17.00 as advertised. Also getting out out slow only one line out and processing is slow. This should be automated.
There was at one time a bus that you could take for a reasonable price once on the Island this is now gone. You could take it to go to the gardens or to the beach. Now all that is left is high price dinning and shopping or expensive shore excursions. Not a lot to due here.
