Review summary
I was really disappointed to find out that there were no beaches at either of the islands. I guess I should have asked more questions. The ports were not great and we spent less than an hour at each port. When we got back on the ship there were no activities to hold our interest until later in the evening.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
The embarkation was ok, with the exception of the safety at the beginning of the cruise which needs to be better organized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food needs a lot of improvement. Guy's burger joint and some of the dining options are the best. However Guy's is only open from Noon - 6 pm. The buffet is TERRIBLE, very few selections and not good quality.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
There were not a lot of activities for "adults" unless you count bingo, trivial. Most of the activities start about 7 pm, by this time you are tired from sitting around doing nothing most of the day.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
There were not a lot of activities most of the activities start about 7 pm, by this time you are tired from sitting around doing nothing most of the day. Comedy was pretty good and the stage shows.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was great and catered to all your needs.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
This ship is OLD!!! We could see them still painting when we got on the ship. No sports bar to watch the games, most of the rooms were not in use (i.e. piano bar) a few other rooms that were not used until late night.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The rooms were clean, but need to use bleach in the bathrooms, the size of the room is good and plenty of storage space. The beds were good and comfy.
Ship tip
Don't take this trip as your first trip - you will be disappointed. If you looking to REST, this trip is great, you can read all day long. There is NO Beach at either of the ports.
Not much to do at the port for this trip you can walk this island in less than a hour. The excursions are expensive for a 45 minutes glass bottom boat tour.
Disembarkation was quick - unorganized because no one knew where to stand, so everyone on my floor piled up on the middle of the deck until we got word to leave.
Playa Hermosa beach in Ensenada. Down the road from the port. On most cruises, you will need to find transportation to the beaches. They are not near the ports.
Spent "less than an hour at each port"? That seems so improbable. Could not even get folks on/off in an hour. Oh, you meant YOU spent less than an hour. Your choice? Ships fault? Hummm.
