Review summary

when I got our tickets, they gave us each 50.00 on board credit, but when it came to check out time, they did not honor it. Now I have to spend God knows how long trying to retrieve my money, I would rather get a more reputable cruise line that does not pull this on me.

other wise, food, entertainment, staff, room, trip, all other stuff was excellent.

Scarlett. The part about losing the money you put on the card is not true. They will refund that money to you. Carnival sends you a check. The only time they don't if it's less than $5. That is donated to St Jude's.

I may have misread this. on board credit means you use it ONBOARD. When you read little printing on bottom of all the papers you get when you print out everything, it says that there is no refund for onboard credits. Even when you put money on your card, if you don't spend it, it's gone. lesson I learned a few cruises ago. You may be out of luck.
