Review summary
The service on board was very good. Ace the young man that served most of our meals was outstanding. The food, however, was mediocre at best. The eggs were either over cooked or undercooked, never cooked appropriately and the bacon (where everyone in our group ordered it "crispy" was NEVER cooked correctly, even after sending it back. I ordered a baked potato and it was not cooked...hard as a rock...the replacement was just as bad. The desserts were bland and poorly presented. The "chocolate extravaganza" was a joke. There were three, maybe four chocolate dishes the rest were the same bland presentations as before. The entertainment was terrible. Scott in the piano bar was the exception. He was very good. The rock and roll concert was probably the worst show I have ever seen. The singers were off key, forgot lyrics and were not particularly good dancers. The comic in the adult comedy show raised a couple of chuckles but was by no means a comic I would pay to see in Las Vegas. We were not able to see Catalina Island and the "fun day at sea" was not even close to a replacement. On the whole I was very disappointed and would not cruise with Carnival again.
