Ok for the money...

Sail Date: August 02, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview of the smaller ships, maybe due to limited itinerary. Not much on-board amenities. The pool is smaller than a backyard pool and the 4 jacuzzi's are not much better. Usually packed with kids, unless you go to the back of the ship where the adult ones are, but those are usually filled with older intoxicated adults. Dining option is so-so. Not much international variety, especially in Asian cuisine (for the sheer amount of Asian people onboard). Waterpark consists of one large loopy slide, 2 'racers' type sloping slide and the rest, splash waters for the kiddies. The nightclub is usually dead at nights, used to pitch artwork during the day. Lounges are sometimes out in the aisles and the atrium is ho-hum. Average hits the right spot.

Cabin / Stateroom
I knew it was going to be tiny, but there was an omnipotent buzzing sound near our headboard that came and went, made it hard to sleep. Very tiny bathroom, not sure how anybody over 6 feet or 200 lbs can fit in there very well. NO bathroom amenities (only generic shampoo and body wash dispensers). Bed was okay. (2 doubles combined into 1)

Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
dont consider hairy chest competition and ice carving activities
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
needs more ethnic variety. not everyone onboard loves American cafeteria food!
Long Beach (Los Angeles), California
Lotsa things near the marina!
Catalina Island, California
Many SoCal residents have been here before and its a quaint little marina town, has ample activities and no chain restaurants or stores. If you love mom-and-pop's, you'll love it here!
Ensenada, Mexico
go get a pic with the baby lion!
