Great start to our B2B around the Caribbean. Crew, dining, entertainment, and the ship were great.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived right on our check-In time and breezed through to our ship. As Platinum, we were allowed to drop off all of our carry-on luggage and our Sail&Sign cards were ready. Facial ID with our passports make the process really easy!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We sail a lot and could always find something that was really good. We don't expect extremely high end cuisine so really enjoy the dining. We eat in the MDR for almost every meal when we are on board: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner with a Guy's Burger once.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We mostly relax on sea days and often do excursions on port days. In the evenings we find live music or a show in the theater. Excellent bands and singers including the Playlist cast.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Excellent performances! We could always finding something we liked. We especiallt enjoyed the strings trio, the Havana Bar band, and the magician Anas - He was both an amazing Slight-Of-Hand performer, but a comedian as well!!
Children's Programs
Sailing as a retired couple.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had exceptional service with our Cabin Stewards, MDR waiters, and Guest Services. Really great crew!! We do not use the bar services.
Ship Quality

This was our first time on a Vista class ship. The ship layout was fine but the elevators were terrible. We had checked out videos and knew how they were supposed to work. However, it was Elevator Lotto! Pick your deck and hope it stops there. Often it would stop above and/or below and not where we needed to get off. I have issues doing stairs so we had to get off, put the choice in again, and wait again - often 4 to 10 minutes to get our choice. Not a Smart Elevator- A DUMB ELEVATOR system not good for even slight disabilities!!
Cabin / Stateroom

There were some closet door, plumbing and electrical issues, but our Steward got help ASAP every time. We left it in good shape for the next cruisers!
Ship tip
Take stairs whenever you are able as the elevator waits and crazy stops are nonsense!
We did not tour Miami. We flew in, stayed overnight at a hotel, then took the hotel van to the terminal. Crazy busy chaos terminal on the outside. Once in the terminal, it was really smooth.
We did the Culture and Tequila tour. Fun guide and stops at the Mayan architectural ruins and shops. Fun day with a little time to shop at the port at the end.
On September 8 at the end of our 14 days on board with a B2b, we walked off the ship at our time, collected our luggage, had facial ID at customs, and walked out to our Carnival shuttle bus to get to the Miami airport. Easy process!!
