Too many passengers for the venues, not enough hand sanitizer stations, and just rude people galore. Will be choosing a different cruise line next time even though we've cruised carnival 4x prior.

Food was okay... service was hit or miss. Especially in the MDR. Those people were grouchy and did the minumum.
Onboard Activities

Cruise director was not very good. I have been on other cruises and the director really does play a big role in the experience with activities and entertainment. The pools were green most of the time. Skyride was fun, but only available at certain times. Bingo was expensive and people wo way too quickly so it was not fun at all.
Entertainment

The comedians were the best part about the ship. Cruise director was boring. I think he tried, but was just not "it." The piano bar was fun, but the woman playing singled out my friend for trying to get a chair and called her rude and asked the entire bar to call her that. It was not okay.

Not enough activities. My teens didn't do anything with the teen areas because of the crappy programming.
Service and Staff

Loved our room steward- Pepito. He was a gem and made up for so many other bad experiences with staff. In their defense, any of the passengers on-board were rude and entitled. I even saw one person cry after a passenger yelled at her for bringing towels to their room.
Ship Quality

I enjoy the vista class. Horizon is newer, but I like the Vista better. It seems like the cruise had a problem with the capacity. It felt like we had to wait in line for everything (not just food).
Cabin / Stateroom

We've stayed in the cove balconies 3x and love them. My only complaint was the location of this room. It was midship and their was constant noise above us because of food service. Even throughout the night.
Ship tip
Pig & Anchor is hands down the best value for specialty dining and drinks. John Wick (bartender) was fabulous. He made the trip very memorable
We chose early disembarkation. The exits were blocked by people on scooters and there was too much luggage for the space. It was messy, but once we started moving, it was a smooth process.
First thing with these comments about walmart of the sea whe people need look at msc which has cheaper prices π€ Second Iit sound like maybe cuisining is not for you . Remember happiness is what you make it.
Sorry. The rude comment was unbelievable can't believe an entertainer would do that to anyone. Pools are salt water so yea they tend to be green. I'm tired of the hand sanitizers I wash my hands. I feel the sanitizers make people lazy. Thanks for your review. We love horizon! 81 days till we are on her.
I left carnival several times and came back due to other lines being boring, food was horrible, having to make reservations for everything. Try other lines....that way you'll know the difference. Enjoyed the review!
