Wonderful time for our first cruise, but there's a few things that should be changed for better and safer sailing.

Review summary

We had a wonderful 1st cruise. Please invest in safety rails that can be popped on to the head/foot of the bunks. Our daughter fell out in the night and got really hurt. We tried to get Ice for her bumps and bruises and a milk to calm her down, but family harbor didn't have any. The ice machine wasn't working and there were no milks. We asked for an extra safety rail and were told there are none. Something so small could have went a long way. Family Harbor should have those little milk containers available after hours for those with small children who need it for bedtime. Georgia was a wonderful interactive cruise director who made the vacation that more special. We LOVE the Family Harbor and will definitely book this deck again. It's a wonderful addition that caters to larger families like mine. We actually have 5 children and only brought 3. The ship was clean and roomy and everything moved pretty quickly. We enjoyed the Carnival experience and will book again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was good, but I thought there would be more snack type items available throughout the day.

Onboard Activities

Lots to do. We would have liked more Bingo and deal or no deal options. We used the pool everyday as well as the kids waterpark.

We didn't use the kids clubs only saw the Suess parade, book reading and The world works here show. All were geared towards children.

Service and Staff

Everyone was amazing and friendly. Georgia was the star of the week. She was a very hands on and inclusive cruise director.

We loved our room and the whole family harbor concept. We wished they would have left small cartons of milk and juice in the fridge at night so those of us with small children who need a bottle or sippy cup late in the evening or middle of the night could get some. We had to get cups of milk and keep them in our fridge which was messy. Also extra safety rails should be available for the bunk beds head and foot area. My 6 yr old fell from the top bunk in the middle of the night. We tried to get ice for her bruised head and her back as well as a milk to calm her down from family harbor and neither were available.

Ship tip

If you are sailing with children book the Family Harbor rooms
