It was the worse waste of money. I should have gone to another cruise. The kids were wild, fights broke out multiple times, security didn't honor the curfew and let them run up and down hallways keeping people up all night, the food was awful so get food in the countries they send you to, don't bother with the paid food because not much better. Carnival should be embarrassed and I am a fool for cruising on this cruise line.

The food was terrible without spices, bland, few choices for vegetarians, same foods nightly, even the paid foods were a waste of money like tough steak at $48-, terrible guys pigs and anchor dont bother with the dessert we returned them all.

It appears kids activities stop at a certain point early on otherwise they are active. The adults are a hit and miss, fitness center and spa the best otherwise if you like bingo, a comedy club that was always full no seats avail, movies on board few choices except 1.

no stage shows, DJ were good at the pool, the latin music in Havana was great, the imax is 18.99 per new movie when you can wait until you get home for $12- a ticket. That was foul. Its all about the price on this ship.

middle school aged awkward not much to do, high school was the best one with video games and competitions otherwise not much else to do. They ran wild on the ship, 2 fights with 10 year old at ice cream, fights on basketball court with blood, ran up and down floors all night until 4:30 am screaming and laughing waking people up, security failed to do their job and call parents to come get the wild children, kids calling parents racist if they didnt answer a survey during a movie at the pool area. This is the worse wild children and disrespectful kids I have ever seen.

We waited more than 30 min to get water in the dining room then they forgot about us not once but twice. We ended up walking out because we couldnt get anyone to wait on us. They need more staff and are all overworked 7 days a week. Rude guy in spa, always trying to make a sale on the ship and misleading sale ads stating to come for your 1 inch gold and when you get there it was not even close. It was to lure you into the jewelry shops. They then advertised last chance for free charms you rush down to find out after you buy 8. They are all about the sale and nothing more.

It was clean, sanitary except the throw up on the carpet.

The floors sink in inside the bathroom like it was going to cave in. The room was enough space for 2. The movies inside the cabin were pay the same movies were at the pool movie screen. The person who cleaned room was the nicest and diligent about cleaning daily.
Ship tip
Dont cruise on this. The food is bad, they are always trying to sell you something and mislead you into sales that are really not happening, older ship with dips in floors in many places like the floor will cave in, not enough night activity for adults, paid restaurants not all that and not worth the money, kids run wild and fighting on board nightly, kids run wild up and down floors at all hours even though the curfew is at 1am.

I get it. My first cruise was April spring break. It took me 10+ years to step back on carnival. Unfortunately, cruising during school breaks are less pleasant.
I see this was your first cruise. Taking a carnival cruise during March break and then booking an inside cabin was not the best idea. For sure you were always going to get lots of children and that’s the pitfalls of going on a ship that specializes in family vacations during March break. I’m sure if you would’ve tried Celebrity or princess you would’ve had a nicer time.

Sorry your experience on this ship was so bad . On the other hand we’re going on the Horizon for a third time because we enjoy it that much. I’m a firm believer that your vacation is what you make it and unfortunately it’s sad that you couldn’t find one positive thing . Oh and by the way the Horizon isn’t a old ship it’s fairly new, better luck on your next vacation
