Not the best cruise I've ever done, but really expected much more. Food was just mediocre most of the time. Shows on the ship were nothing to see. And for the ship to be one of there "newer" ship, colors and decor just felt old. Clean but other wise just felt old in places. Probly won't be back on a carnival ship any time soon.

Getting on was very easy as we were in a suite, priority boarding was pretty easy. Although I guess the time slot for check is a think of the pass already. Had one of the first boarding times and when got there terminal was already full.

Food and Dining

As usual lots of thoughts on food. We all have different taste and that's ok. But for us, kinda disappointed with buffet. Really very limited selection on bars. Two main bars in market place which ended up with four lines at each. Each had just the same on each one. Had like 5-6 dishes on each bar. Most of time wasn't anything outstanding. Staff was pretty good about cleaning up.
** MAIN DINNING ROOM.
Main dinning room at 6, was ok. Our waiter and staff were good. Enjoyed that as usual. Food was just ok for the most part. Kinda weird but mashed potatoes were great at every dish. Main course meals were just ok. Melting chocolate cake was awesome each time.
** 555 steakhouse was flat out awesome, please do try at least once, never wanted to but has room credit to use and was absolutely fantastic.
Onboard Activities

Activity on board was ok. Upper deck was were we mostly were with a 14yr old. Equipment was ok but most was a bit used up. Corn hole boards were great to have, more would have been great. Lot of kids for this cruise so we kinda let the kids have at most of the stuff. Sky ride was pretty neet. Lots!!!!of kids in pools and hot tubs so really didn't get to use them.
Entertainment

Not to impressed with shows personally. If you like music that is recomposed to something totally different then maybe you will like but for us it was a giant fail.
**However loved the violin music and others in central atrium was really good to chill and enjoy.
Service and Staff

Staff for most parts was helpful and friendly. Some bars staff were really great others very short and had bad attitudes for someone that is there to deal with people.
*** The negative, security was a giant joke. When we could enjoy our balcony because others smoking marijuana!!!!!!!! By the way is highly illegal on the ship. Was happening all over the boat and all the security staff were just unwilling to deal with it. Very poor response to illegal drugs.
Ship Quality

As like every one else the elevator set up is just beyond stupid. After you figure out how they work they are ok but standard were so much better and easier. Hated having to go up and over to get to things. Lots of outside doors closed off that would have made a lot easier to get to things.
Really think it was laid out really weird, didn't care for the lay out. Been on much better ships.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was not bad. First time in a "suite". Not much more to it than a just a little bit more room to move around in. Bathroom was good with two sinks. Had full shower and whirlpool tub. But was very cramped with all the hand rails and what not in the shower. On other note did have a lot of RUST come out of shower head on many occasions. All in all I would say room colors and decor are outdated, looked like they would be used in the 70s.
Biggest joke of any I ve seen on a cruise avoid or just stay on the ship. Would have cost $50 just to get out of the terminal and another $50 back for three pees.
Parking at the port was beyond a joke, very very hectic. Had to circle parking garage three times only to find it was closed due to being full at 9 in the morning.
