This was our first cruise and we were very pleased with our experience on the Horizon. There were plenty of activities and plenty of places to just relax.

Embarkation was smooth for the most part. Definitely recommend doing the pre-cruise check-in. We were on the ship within 20 minutes of entering the terminal.

The dining options were good. Really enjoy Farienheit 555 and Bonsai Tapenyaki. Service in the main dining room was great. Thanks Markie Mark!! The buffet had some pretty good dishes as well.

All the staff were wonderful from the lady at guest services that fixed the glitch in the app, I think her name was Apple, to the waiters in the main dining room to our room steward Gede.He was totally awesome and very attentive to the smallest detail. Five stars is not enough!
Ship Quality

This was our first cruise. We found it pretty easy to get around and find things on the ship. Those elevators took some getting used to though. There was a few times the hallway smelled like there was a backup in the sewage system, thankfully the smell did not get into the cabin. I also noticed there was always some kind of cleaning going inside and painting and maintenence at every port stop.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was as expected. Bed was comfortable enough but they are super narrow. Be careful turning over, you could tumble out.
The shower drain was clogged causing water to back up. We let Gede know and he took care of it right away.
Ship tip
Don't be afraid to ask. All the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable.
We really enjoyed our excursion that took us around to different sites and Eagle Beach. Our guides name was Benjamin. He had a perfect mixture of facts, history and laughs.
La Romana was nice. Live music to greet us and a lot of vendors at the port. The vendors seemed to be more pushy at this port than the others. There was construction going on as well. Will have to revisit when it's all complete.
I think this was the most disorganized part of our experience on the Horizon. It did take awhile to get off. So glad we chose to keep our bags with us.
