Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Amber Cove is small. About 6 stores there at the port, none authentic to the country. There is a large pool and zip line near the ship... both require money to participate. Dock is lengthy but there are bike taxis waiting for a donation.

Disembarkation

I did a back to back so it was pretty easy. Got off ship in holding area and took covid test. received new room cards and back on the ship about an hour before next cruise guest.

We’re going on January 22, hopefully on the Horizon, since that is the first date she is supposed to be back for.

I really hope they get it together for my January 30th cruise. I know they plan to. This will be the first cruise with the Cheers package. I bet I will have to have it for all of my future cruises. I just can't wait

Thanks for the review. I was supposed to be on the Horizon for the Dec 31 sailing, I’ll have to wait since they switched us to the Sunshine. I was looking forward to cruising on the Horizon 😞
