Review summary

Unfortunately we were unable to go to the ports that we paid to visit and it’s been bothering me whether we should be in titled to compensation for that. Even though we had to change course, it was still a fantastic cruise but I still have price questions.

The places that I ate at were all fantastic. There wasn’t enough time on the ship to visit all of the eating places.

The cruise director, Donkey, was the best!!! I would love to cruise with him in the future. There were plenty of music shows, games, movies, the Dr Seuss water area and the fitness area were all great.

I liked the ship, Horizon, a lot. I got plenty of steps in walking around it. The staff was constantly cleaning considering the concern for the coronavirus.

You are entitled to a refund on your port charges. If you don’t ask for it, they will not do it automatically

Cruise itineraries can change at any time along a cruise as the ship's captain will do whatever it takes to keep the ship & the pax safe at all times. It just comes with cruising.

If you didn’t go to the ports they will give you back port fees. Since you had a great time be thankful you were able to cruise as many of us will have to cancel.

If they replaced the ports with others then no .. but if you didn't dock and missed out you should get port fees back but that's normally taken care of while your still on board in OBC .. as for compensation now good luck with that ... Great you enjoyed anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well don't be bothered any longer because you are not entitled to compensation for missing ports. First of all, when you purchased the tickets you agreed to the policy that the ship can miss any port for any reason and you would not get any money in return. Cruise lines sometimes give compensation when missing is the ship's fault but this wasn't. Also, being that it was for safety reasons you can't expect them to do something to keep you healthy then ask them to pay you for doing it. This virus is a big deal. Let's not make missing ports an issue when we are trying to slow down this killer.
