Review summary

It was really good. Mike the cruise Director was great. Full of energy. Ship is really nice. Good luck trying to use the elevators on embarkation day. Most of them are closed for luggage being brought onto the ship and the rest are jam packed. Food and service staff were really good. Entertainment was good. Very fun overall

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quickest embarkation I’ve ever experienced. Entered the line at about 11:10 and was on the ship at 11:25

Entertainment

Shows were decent. Comedians were really good. They debuted Deal or No Deal for the first time ever on any Carnival ship on our cruise which was really cool to be a part of

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
For the first time ever in my history of cruising I was disappointed with our room steward. I saw our room steward once all cruise on the second day. There was no soap in our bathroom so good thing we took the soap bar from the hotel from the night before. I asked our room steward for ice the only time I saw him and we didn’t get any. I saw many other room stewards several times a day but not ours which was very different from our past experiences. Other than that the service was amazing.

Ship tip

Go to comedy shows early, they fill up quick. Deck 5 seating is always empty

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

Couldn’t dock in Georgetown because the wind so we docked at Spott’s beach. You could get a taxi ride for $6 per person each way. There is literally nothing at Spotts beach worth tendering off the ship for if you’re not going to take a taxi into Georgetown. We were originally going to go to 7 mile beach but didn’t feel like paying $24 for a ride there and back when the weather wasn’t great. Spent about 20 minutes at Spotts Beach before tendering back

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel is always great for whatever you feel like doing that day when you’re there. This time we just walked all around and did a lot of shopping

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Very pushy people wanting to sell you stuff or take you on a tour or something else. Going to Margaritaville costs $10 per person if you want to access the beach. $15 if you want a beach chair.
