Some things were disappointing but all in all a fun time with great friends. I even found my first cruise duck! The elevators are easy to use. Never had to wait for one.

Food and Dining

Never made it to dining room. We had linked dinner with our friends however there was a mix up and they were given anytime dining and we had late dining. Didn’t feel like going thru the hassle to get it corrected. Ended up in specialty restaurants for dinner.
Buffet had lots of choices at lunch. Try Mongolian Wok, it’s complimentary at lunch but service was slow. Didn’t have breakfast or dinner at buffet.
Cucina del Capitano

Veal was a bit tough. Best item was the meatballs. Chicken parm was a large portion, needed more sauce.
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse

Nice atmosphere with great service. Filet delicious. My husband had filet and lobster tail. The tail was half of a tail, not a full tail. He said it was tasty. Cheesecake was yummy.

BBQ was wonderful, ate here twice. Don’t miss the prime rib, ribs or brisket.
Bonsai Teppanyaki

Felt very rushed. All apps brought at the same time. Soup was served with main course. Other than the great show we didn’t enjoy the food. Friends lobster was only a few pieces. The shrimp was served with heads and legs. The floor was greasy. One of the windows looking into the restaurant was dirty the entire cruise.
Onboard Activities

Always something to do. Trivia and games throughout the day. Main pools and pool areas over crowded, chairs hard to come by. We stayed in the Havana area so chairs were always available.
Entertainment

Latin band enjoyable. Horizon Wireless band was the best.
Saw 2 shows, music was good but storylines confusing.
Service and Staff

Five stars to the staff in the Havana Bar and pool area. They did a great job.
Ship Quality

For a ship that’s 2 years old I was surprised at the rust in the Havana pool area. Tile going up to the hot tubs very rusty and in need of a good scrubbing. Musty odor in
Havana Bar area and there was leaking water from the ceiling. Staff had put down cloths on the floor as well as high powered dryers.
Ocean Plaza carpet in seating area had water stains and a damp musty smell. Water leaked onto my friends head and had to move to another table.
Carnival needs to fix the problem.
Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip
Book a cabin in the Havana area. Private pool, 2 hot tubs and bar. Very quiet and relaxing.
Was so looking forward to Aruba. Not enough time in Port. Taxi driver took us to a beach, he said one of the best beaches in the world, NOT! I think we needed to spend more time on the island and do a tour. Had lunch at fun restaurant and shopped at the port. Would love to have had 2 days there.
