I would say to improve focus on the shows variety. MSC cruises have the best shows. They have that over many others. The waiters need to go back to how it use to be, fun and attentive. Considering there are 2 people for each table to assist barely any cane to ask if we were ok, if we needed anything else, apologize for the long wait. They all seemed in a hurry and lost.

The free lemonade got redundant. At least have the passion fruit option all day and not just morning. We only had the lunch buffet once and the dinner buffet once. Both times not a variation of options. Sit down dinner could have had more options throughout the week. I remember when filet Milon and lobster was not extra back in the day. The prime rib and flat iron steak got redundant. The drink package was absurd. Other ships have more options like vouchers or daily packages. There was only one expensive option which we opted out of.

Loved the sky ride. There seemed a lot to do. We didn’t do all as not enough time or fit our schedule but glad there were options.

Singers were very talented but expected more from the showed. The only different show was the lip sync battle which was funny but other ships have magic shows, aerialists, cool stunts etc. the Cuban show would have been nicer if they danced and not just say and sang. But at least they put on a show with live singing and dancing which was nice, just redundant everyday. The New Years after party was Fun but we didn’t stay long cause they played a lot of trap music which was the new generation music and awful. But the liquor was enough to tolerate it I suppose. They should have mixed it up more with classic good songs and can always mix it up with nuetral good songs from today. The age is so broad from 18 - 70s so the fact that it was the same type for the half hour we were there seemed like the DJ catered to only one genre.

Our room service was great. He was so pleasant and attentive. Our wait staff was another story. They were more focused on getting orders and the food out but never attentive with the exception of a few that waited on us. The later the dinner the longer it took for food to come out at times being at dinner for 2 hours due to the wait of the food between each course meal. And in between never did they come to check on us. We had to wait to ask for drink cause our server never appeared once food was dropped off. Not like what the service use to be. Needs much improvement.

It was overall clean and maintained well. The layout was nice. Standard but nice.

Due to our room attendant it was always clean and cozy. I always enjoyed the towel animals. The cabin size was doable, not exceptional due to the price we paid but good enough.
Ship tip
It’s overall a nice and fun ship. Don’t set high expectations on the variety of the dinner but the food quality was good and delicious.
We enjoyed our excursion. Much different than other snorkeling ones we went to. We had the snorkeling scooter which was so much fun. The beach was nice. The resort was decent but not wowed. The food provided in the excursion was actually pretty good. The drinks we bought there were disgusting and expensive. Tasted like pure cheap rubbing alcohol. Would not recommend anyone to buy there drinks from that resort.
We expected better. They said this was the best beach. It was more like a bay. It got very crowded and noisy with different types of music playing from different directions. Loved the DR music and the food tho.
The beach was ok. Also said this was the best beach. While the scenic was beautiful with the sunset and the rocks. We were hoping for some clear water based on people saying this was a beautiful beach. (Mambo beach). We enjoyed the floating bridge and the town was very pretty.
It sounds like you disliked more than you liked. Was this your first cruise? I’m going on the horizon in April and am so looking forward to it. I have been on other carnival cruises as well and have not been this disappointed in any of them. Sorry it wasn’t that great for you
